AIR STANDARD EFFICIENCY (N) :
It is the ratio of work done during the process to the heat supplied during the process. '
Air Standard Efficiency, N = Work done / Heat Supplied = W / Qs
Where, Work done = Heat supplied - Heat rejected
W = Qs - Qr
MEAN EFFECTIVE PRESSURE (Pm) :
The mean pressure developed during one cycle of operation is called as mean effective pressure. In other words, it is the ratio of work done to the swept volume.
Mean Effective Pressure (Pm) = Work done / Swept Volume = W / (V1 - V2)
Also, mean effective pressure (Pm) = Area of the P-V diagram / Length of the diagram
POWER (P) :
It is defined as the amount of work done by the unit mass flow rate of the working substance.
Power = Work done * Mass flow rate of working substance
P = W * mf
