Disaster and Its Types :

 Disaster (or) Calamities is a geological process and is defined as an event, concentrated in time and space, in which a society, or sub-division of a society undergoes severe danger and causes loss of its members and physical property.


Types Of  Disasters :

Based on the origin, disaster is grouped into two types.

1. Natural Disasters 

2. Man- made Disasters 

1. Natural Disasters ( Calamities ) : It refers to those disasters that are generated by natural phenomena.

Example - Cyclones, floods, earthquakes, landslides, etc., 

2. Man made Disasters ( Calamities ) : It usually refers to the disasters resulting from man-made hazards.

Example - Accidents, Pollution, fire etc., 

Important Disasters : 

The followings are the Important Disasters,

1. Floods

2.Cyclones 



3.Landslides



4.Earthquakes



5.Tsunami

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Air Refrigeration System :

 Advantages Of  Air Refrigeration : 1. The refrigerant used namely air is cheap and easily available. 2. There is no danger of fire or toxic effects due to leakages. 3. The weight to ton of refrigeration ratio is less as compared to other systems. Disadvantages Of Air Refrigeration : 1. The quantity of  Refrigerant used per ton of refrigeration is high as compared to other systems. 2. The COP of the system is very low. Therefore running cost is high. 3. The danger of frosting at the expander valves is more as the air contains moisture content.
