Two Types of Natural Resources

 


Natural Resources are the sources which are useful to man or can be transformed into a useful product. natural resources are classified into two types.

1. Renewable Resources 

2. Non - Renewable Resources 

Renewable Resources 

 Resources that are capable of being generated by ecological process within a reasonable time period are called renewable resources. They have the potential to renew themselves.

1. Continuous resources

 These renewable resources are further sub classified into two types. 

Examples - Solar energy, wind, Tidal energy 

2.Extrinsic resources 

 These resources are prone to breakdown or degradation, yet are available continuously if well managed. 

Examples - Human Skills, institutions, management abilities. 

Non - Renewable Resources 

Resources that are not capable of being regenerated by ecological processes are called non - renewable resources.

Examples - Minerals, coal, oil, natural gas, ground water.

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Air Refrigeration System :

 Advantages Of  Air Refrigeration : 1. The refrigerant used namely air is cheap and easily available. 2. There is no danger of fire or toxic effects due to leakages. 3. The weight to ton of refrigeration ratio is less as compared to other systems. Disadvantages Of Air Refrigeration : 1. The quantity of  Refrigerant used per ton of refrigeration is high as compared to other systems. 2. The COP of the system is very low. Therefore running cost is high. 3. The danger of frosting at the expander valves is more as the air contains moisture content.
